Patricia van Dam

Patricia has over 28 years of transformational/change management, strategy development and sustainability integration experience having worked in global corporations in Europe including General Manager and Executive General Manager levels and in management consulting in Australia (Energy & Utilities, Health, Mining & Natural Resources – Rio Tinto, BHP and Anglo American). Patricia applies a sustainable value-driven approach to programme, project, change and functional/line management and a deep understanding of cultural and behavioural change to deliver innovative solutions, continuous improvement and significant returns.
Examples of development and delivery of major transformations include: business integration programme (TNT Group); global best practice sharing programme (Vodafone Group); major process and systems changeouts in an Australian energy distributor and retailer; a full operating model transformation of Resource Development and Strategic Mine Planning (Rio Tinto); the development and implementation of a Joint Ownership Model for Resource Development, Mining Studies and Life of Asset Planning across Technical Services and Business Units and Strategy Articulation for Sustainability Integration (Sustainability from “in Design” to “in Operations”) across Mining functions (Anglo American).
Together with Peter and Andrew, Patricia has developed Qeyviews and Qeysights applications that deliver highly effective and immediately actionable people and cultural analysis applicable to operational business performance improvement and risk reduction for investments, mergers and acquisitions (i.e. “cultural due diligence”).
Over the past years Patricia has applied her skills and experience to mining investment due diligences. Together with her partners, comprehensive directional, managerial, cultural, technical, operational, environmental, community, social, economic, legal and regulatory reviews and assessments of multiple Australian and international mining investment projects were delivered. Their asset repositioning, new direction setting and financial modelling has identified significant increases in NPV and ROI for each of the projects.
Patricia’s international credentials span from Business Economics to Change Management, Risk Management and Neuro Linguistics, completed across Europe, UK, Ireland and Australia.
